Scholarship Information
Assistance League of Sierra Foothills, a local chapter of National Assistance League®, is a non-profit volunteer organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthropic programs. Our chapter (scholarships@alsierrafoothills.com) is committed to improving the lives of people living in El Dorado County, and through the collective strength of our volunteers, we serve as a significant resource in the community.
We offer scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors in El Dorado County who have demonstrated exemplary volunteer community service. The applicants must pursue continuing education in one of the following ways. Attend a vocational or trade school; a technical or business school; a community college; or a four-year college. The scholarship money will be sent directly to the educational institution to pay for tuition, fees, and/or required textbook purchases.
- Assistance League members and their families are not eligible.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Scholarship must be used for educational purposes—tuition, fees, and/or required textbook purchases.
- Please do not include a photo of yourself.
Scholarship Requirements
- High School Requirement:
- Golden Sierra High School, Charter, El Dorado High School, Independence Continuation, Mountain View High, Oak Ridge High School, Ponderosa High School, Union Mine High School, Mt. Tallac High, South Tahoe High School, Other - Private, Charter Community School Home Study Academy , Clarksville Charter (TK-12th), Charter Connections Academy (9th-12th), Charter University Prep (7th-12th), Charter College & Career Prep (7th -12th), Pacific Crest Academy
- GPA Minimum:
- 2.75
- Other Requirements:

- Have an exemplary record of unpaid community service.
- Be a high school senior in an El Dorado County public high school, vocational/trade school, continuation or alternative school;
- Pursue continuing education in one of the following ways: Attend a vocational or trade school; a technical or business school; a community college; or a four-year college.
