Scholarship Information

This scholarship is in memory of Leandro and Mary Tirapelle of St. Patrick Parish in Placerville. This one grant in the annual amount of $22,754 for college academic year 2025-2026 may be renewable for an additional three academic years. This is not a need-based scholarship.

This grant is open to:

  1. Children of and in residence with any parishioner of St. Patrick Parish for a minimum of one continuous year immediately prior to date of award application, or
  2. Descendants of parishioners of St. Patrick Parish during 1975 - 1985 (who may or may not themselves be parishioners of St. Patrick Parish at the time of Award application).

A parishioner of St. Patrick Parish is defined as a Catholic person domiciled within the geographic boundaries of St. Patrick Parish, Placerville (Includes St. James Parish in Georgetown).

Scholarship Requirements

High School Requirement:
El Dorado High School, Independence Continuation, Mountain View High, Oak Ridge High School, Ponderosa High School, Union Mine High School, Pacific Crest Academy
College Requirement:
College must be approved by selection committee
Career/Major Requirement:
Curriculum must be approved by selection committee
Other Requirements:
  • Student must meet the eligibility requirements in relationship to St. Patrick Parish
  • Student must obtain a copy of the Grant Application Procedure by emailing Ms. Maria Gonzales, Business Manager at St. Patrick Parish, Placerville at lggonzalez@stpatpv.org.
  • Student must be a Citizen of the United States.
  • Student must be entering a four-year college not a community college preliminary to pursuing a bachelor's degree at a four-year college.
