Dan Ferrier Memorial Scholarship - Change Your Body, Change Your Life!

Due: Deadline has passed

Amount: $500.00

Scholarship Information

This scholarship is in loving memory of Dan Ferrier, an EDHS graduate, who heroically sacrificed his life to help another. He was shot and killed on New Year's Eve filling in for a friend on the job at a bar in Old Town Sacramento.

Dan attended special education classes for most of his school years. He started working out with weights when he turned 16 years old. That is all he did differently and the following year was able to attend regular classes. That activity alone changed his life. Being healthy was his passion and he fulfilled his dream of becoming a personal trainer/health/life coach converting his garage by EDHS into a workout studio. He called his business, “Conscious Evolution” because he believed changing your body with strength training, cardio, and diet would change your life. He developed a program that when followed would make you a healthier person and change your life.

This scholarship is being offered in Dan's memory, to honor who he was and to keep his story alive. It will go to a student who is an example of who Dan was - someone who turned their life around and is following their passion. Dan was a great person: honest, hard-working, always there to help friends and family, and his integrity came before financial gain. He was devoted to a higher cause. This award will go to the person who has shown the most improvement.
