Scholarship Information

This scholarship is in memory of Amy Abel, a remarkable young woman who found direction in the study of cosmetology. To honor Amy, a $500 scholarship will be awarded to seniors graduating from a Western Slope high school who are going on to study esthetics or cosmetology at a school approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education.

Scholarship Requirements

High School Requirement:
American River Charter (TK-12), Buckeye Union Mandarin Immersion Charter , Clarksville Charter (TK-12th), Cottonwood (TK-12th), Divide High School (9th-12th), El Dorado High School, Golden Sierra High School, Independence Continuation, John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills, Mountain View High, Mountainside Middle College High School, Mountainside Success Academy (8th -12th), Oak Ridge High School, Other - Private, Pacific Crest Academy , Ponderosa High School, Rite of Passage, Union Mine High School
College Requirement:
Attend an esthetician or cosmetology school
Career/Major Requirement:
Entering esthetician or cosmetology school
