Scholarship Information
A scholarship will be awarded to a student graduating in 2023 from the El Dorado Union High School District. Two scholarships are awarded.
- The second scholarship is for a minimum of $500 for which applicants must be wholly or partly of Italian ancestry.
Selection will be based on scholastic records, activities evidencing leadership, financial need, written personal goals statement, Italian heritage essay, and letters of recommendation. Scholarships will be rewarded in the form of a check to the recipient after verification of college enrollment for the upcoming school year. The check will be mailed to the recipient after our board meeting following our receiving the verification.

Please explain if you plan to start at a 2-year college or trade school and transfer on, or if you plan to start at a 4-year university. Please list the area/subject you plan to major in and explain what you hope to achieve with your career in the future?

Additional Scholarship Information
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the following criteria:
- Two Letters of Recommendation (15%) from nonrelated persons which include your character, activities, and community involvement.
- Honors and Awards Received in High School in Chronological Order (Items 2,3,4 & are 25% of your score.)
- High School Extracurricular Activities in Chronological Order (included with #2)
- Community and Employment Activities (Start/end and responsibilities are included)(included with #2)
- Your transcript includes GPA, courses with grades and, College entrance exam scores, if applicable, is included with your application. (10%)
- Your application includes a statement of your career goals with vocational focus, major, minor, and academic or other preparation. (25%)
- Your application for the Italian Heritage Scholarship includes a double spaced typed brief essay summarizing you heritage, family customs, participation in Italian American community activities, etc. (25%)
Payment of scholarship is based on the proof of enrollment at a recognized post-secondary College or University, public or private, offering academic courses leading to a degree or certification and class schedule. The scholarship payment will be made at the first board meeting after the proof of enrollment and class schedule have been received.
