Scholarship Information

The Placerville Shakespeare Club's Mollie Hurd Scholarship is offered to graduating female seniors who exemplify good moral character, strong academics, and have a demonstrated interest in school and community affairs.

There are six Mollie Hurd scholarship awards ranging from $2,000.

  • One scholarship for a student majoring or minoring in visual/performing arts or journalism.
  • One scholarship for a student studying Special Education.
  • One scholarship for a student majoring in education at the primary (1st-7th grade), secondary (8th-12th grade), or Special Education level.
  • Three scholarships for a student majoring in any major.

Scholarship Requirements

High School Requirement:
Golden Sierra High School, Charter, El Dorado High School, Independence Continuation, Mountain View High, Oak Ridge High School, Ponderosa High School, Union Mine High School, Charter Community School Home Study Academy , Clarksville Charter (TK-12th), American River Charter (TK-12), Charter Connections Academy (9th-12th), Charter University Prep (7th-12th), Charter College & Career Prep (7th -12th), Pacific Crest Academy , Divide High School (9th-12th)
GPA Minimum:
3.00
Gender Requirement:
Female
Career/Major Requirement:
Visual or Performing Arts; Journalism; Education; or any major, special education, any other major
Other Requirements:

Must be of good moral character and must have shown an interest in school and community affairs.
