Scholarship Information

The Placerville Shakespeare Club's Mollie Hurd Scholarship is offered to graduating female seniors who exemplify good moral character, strong academics, and have a demonstrated interest in school and community affairs.

There are six Mollie Hurd scholarship awards ranging from $2,000.

  • One scholarship for a student majoring or minoring in visual/performing arts or journalism.
  • One scholarship for a student studying Special Education.
  • One scholarship for a student majoring in education at the primary (1st-7th grade), secondary (8th-12th grade), or Special Education level.
  • Three scholarships for a student majoring in any major.

Scholarship Requirements

High School Requirement:
American River Charter (TK-12), Clarksville Charter (TK-12th), Divide High School (9th-12th), El Dorado High School, Golden Sierra High School, Independence Continuation, Mountain View High, Mountainside Middle College High School, Mountainside Success Academy (8th -12th), Oak Ridge High School, Other - Private, Pacific Crest Academy , Ponderosa High School, Union Mine High School
GPA Minimum:
3.00
Gender Requirement:
Female
Career/Major Requirement:
Visual or Performing Arts; Journalism; Education; or any major, special education, any other major
Other Requirements:

Must be of good moral character and must have shown an interest in school and community affairs.
