Scholarship Information
The mission of the ORHS Community Foundation is to support and enhance Oak Ridge High School by promoting interscholastic, academic, and cultural programs as well as capital/financial improvements that promote continual learning.
The ORHS Community Foundation may provide a scholarship or a number of scholarships to an Oak Ridge High School graduating senior or seniors who will be attending a 4-year or a 2-year college or vocational school, including music and art school.
Special consideration will be given to students who have participated in extracurricular activities and/or community service.
Note: Award amount may vary depending on how many students are selected to receive this scholarship.

The Foundation is looking for students who demonstrate strong leadership and academic achievement with a focus on serving their local community. They are also looking for students who have an understanding of and an appreciation for the ORHS Foundation.
A Note About Letters of Recommendation
The ORHS Foundation wants to see letters written by the people who supervised your community service hours. Please plan ahead and ask them for a letter as soon as you know you want to apply for this scholarships. Teacher and counselor letters will not work for this specific scholarship unless they were the ones working with you during your community service hours.
