This scholarship to Santa Clara University was established in 1952 by John E. Sexton in memory of his father, the late John Sexton, and is open to students who reside in El Dorado County. The amount of the scholarship is approximately $15,500 per year. The scholarship award is based on the amount of money available.
The benefits of the scholarship may, at the option of its board of trustees, be extended to a recipient for up to five years if the recipient is still attending Santa Clara University in good standing.

- Student must reside in El Dorado County and be offered admission to Santa Clara University. This generous scholarship is a available as a multi-year scholarship award.
