Allison Rush Memorial Scholarship Guidelines

This scholarship is in memory of Allison Rush of Pinole, CA. In her short 13 years, Allison made a lasting impact on family and friends. Allison loved every aspect of school (even homework) but never had the opportunity to experience high school or college. To honor Allison, one-time Scholarships of $3,000 will be awarded to successful Ponderosa High School students aspiring to attend a 4-year University. Additional scholarship money may be awarded based on the student's progress in college.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Must plan to attend a 4 year college/university

  • Must have a financial need

  • Student must have participated in extracurricular activity (sports, music, etc) and/or held a job during high school

  • Essay topic: "How has a challenge in your life had an impact on you?" (500 words or less)

  • Two Letters of Recommendation, only one of which can be from a faculty member

  • Current Transcripts

  • Completed Scholarship Application

  • Completed "Family/Financial Information Statement"
