The Sophia Torres Memorial Scholarship is created in loving memory of Sophia Torres, a beloved member of the Oak Ridge High School Class of 2026, whose life was tragically cut short before her high school journey began. Sophia was known for her radiant personality, her ability to spread joy, and her fierce determination. She had a unique talent for making others smile, and her legacy of love continues to inspire everyone who knew her.

This scholarship is dedicated to supporting Oak Ridge High School seniors who have faced grief, loss, or significant hardship during their high school years. It recognizes students who have shown resilience and strength in overcoming their challenges—qualities that were at the heart of Sophia's character.

The Torres family offers this scholarship to provide financial assistance ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 for a deserving student pursuing a four-year college education.
