Scholarship Information

El Dorado Community Foundation is hosting the Scholarship Giving Circle Scholarship, a membership fund that will provide a scholarship to each of the following high schools in El Dorado County: El Dorado High School, Golden Sierra High School, Oak Ridge High School, Ponderosa High School, South Tahoe High School, and Union Mine High School. Our community members who choose to join this giving circle are supporting this scholarship for graduating seniors from one of the six high schools above. This is a merit- based scholarship looking for applicants who are community-minded and pursuing education post high school.

Scholarship Requirements

High School Requirement:
Golden Sierra High School, El Dorado High School, Oak Ridge High School, Ponderosa High School, South Tahoe High School
GPA Minimum:
3.40
Other Requirements:
  • High School Requirement: ANY El Dorado County High School Senior from EDHS, GSH, ORHS, PHS, STHS, or UMHS
  • Must be attending full-time higher education: 4-year university, community college or trade school
  • Other: well rounded: extracurriculars, community service, and/or work experience
