Scholarship Information

The Gene Haas Scholarship is a one-time scholarship given to a ORHS Senior that participated in more than one Manufacturing and Product Development class that we offer. The student must be committed to attending post-secondary education related to manufacturing or engineering.

Scholarship Requirements

High School Requirement:
Oak Ridge High School
GPA Minimum:
3.00
Career/Major Requirement:
Post secondary education must be in manufacturing or engineering with an emphasis in manufacturing most preferably in Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) machining
Other Requirements:

Depending upon applicant quantity priority and ranking of applications for scholarship award will be given in this order:

  1. Pursuit of NIMS Machining certification in any area of CNC machine operation or programming

  2. Commitment to a CNC machining technologist specific community college, post secondary trades school or apprenticeship program

  3. Commitment to a Mechatronics or manufacturing automation specific community college or post secondary trades school or apprenticeship program

  4. Acceptance to university level Manufacturing Engineering or mechanical engineering with Manufacturing emphasis program

  5. Acceptance to university level Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering Program
