Scholarship Information
Assistance League Sierra Foothills, a local chapter of National Assistance League®, is a non-profit volunteer organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthropic programs. Our chapter (scholarships@alsierrafoothills.com) is committed to improving the lives of people living in El Dorado County and, through the collective strength of our volunteers, we serve as a significant resource in the community.
We offer scholarships annually to recognize people in El Dorado County who have overcome challenges and who are interested in furthering their education. The applicants must pursue continuing education in one of the following ways: attend a vocational or trade school; a technical or business school; a community college; or a four-year college. The scholarship money will be sent directly to the educational institution to pay for tuition, fees, and/or required textbook purchases.
- Assistance League members and their families are not eligible.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Scholarship must be used for educational purposes—tuition, fees, and/or required textbook purchases.
- Please do not include a photo of yourself.

- High School Requirement:
- Clarksville Charter (TK-12th), El Dorado High School, Elevated Digital Learning Academy, Golden Sierra High School, Independence Continuation, Mountain View High, Mountainside Middle College High School, Mountainside Success Academy (8th -12th), Mt. Tallac High, Oak Ridge High School, Pacific Crest Academy , Ponderosa High School, South Tahoe High School, Union Mine High School

- Applicants must be residents of El Dorado County.
- Applicants must be a current high school senior or have received a diploma or GED equivalent.
- Applicants who have faced adversity or challenges, but wish to pursue educational goals are encouraged to apply.
