The Economic Development Corporation of El Dorado County (EDC2) is offering a one-time $1,000 scholarship to graduating seniors who plan to continue their education by attending trade school or community college. Prefer demonstrated contribution to El Dorado County and plans to contribute to El Dorado County after graduation from trade school or community college.

Scholarship Requirements

High School Requirement:
American River Charter (TK-12), Buckeye Union Mandarin Immersion Charter , Clarksville Charter (TK-12th), Cottonwood (TK-12th), Divide High School (9th-12th), El Dorado High School, Golden Sierra High School, Independence Continuation, John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills, Mountain View High, Mountainside Middle College High School, Mountainside Success Academy (8th -12th), Oak Ridge High School, Pacific Crest Academy , Ponderosa High School, Union Mine High School
GPA Minimum:
2.50
College Requirement:
trade school or community college
Other Requirements:
  • Must be graduating student from an El Dorado County western slope high school, public, private or charter schools.
  • Applicants must be enrolling in an accredited trade school or community college this fall, taking at least 12 units.
