Scholarship Information

This $1,500 scholarship is in memory of Joan Barsotti, a beloved Placerville community member for 34 years. Joan was an avid storyteller and loved to hear other peoples' stories, whether they be fact or fiction, whether they be a poem, short story or essay. While the scholarship requires a personal writing sample, it does not require a specific field of study. The scholarship recognizes students who have the ability to articulate a story. One scholarship will be given to any EDHS senior, and a second one will go to an AVID EDHS senior. The scholarships provides $500 freshman year and $1,000 sophomore year upon proof of enrollment.
